The Renegade Rum Distillery: a modern marvel precisely designed to exalt the individuality of terroirs, the purity of prolonged fermentation, and thoughtful, rigorous distillation.

On the southeast side of the island, sheltered from the Atlantic trade winds and protected by a narrow belt of mangroves, is this particular terroir.
The iron-red clay, rich soil and cool water table ensure a humid microclimate with lush sugarcane during the driest season. For this rum, we harvested our oldest variety, cain, from mamo’s field, in the land known as the Boulders.
