DISTILLERIE DU MONT BLANC 2019 Version Française Vermouth Cask

$130.00

Located in La Motte-Servolex, the Mont-Blanc brewery-distillery was founded in 1999 by Sylvain Chiron.

It draws its spring water from an altitude of 2,074 meters at the Aiguille du Goûter.

Made from a blend of two barley varieties and an ancient wheat variety, this edition was distilled in an Armagnac still. Initially aged in a cognac cask, followed by a bourbon cask, it was then finished in a vermouth cask.

Very vibrant, its aromatic and taste profile is a sequence of fruity, spicy, creamy, and herbaceous notes that shape its radiant and fully blossomed character.

Tasting Notes

Colour
: Old gold

Nose : Refined, distinguished. Both peppery, vanilla-scented, fruity (mirabelle plum, yellow plum), and herbaceous (mint leaf), the aromatic palette shines with brightness. With aeration, it becomes softly powdery (ginger, rice) and slightly medicinal with a hint of camphor.

Palate : Lively, dynamic. Close to cereal notes (barley, wheat), the flavor profile is also creamy (almond, fresh walnut). Then, some exotic fruits (pineapple, banana, golden kiwi) make a remarkable and memorable appearance.

Finish : Long, smooth. Having found its balance, the flavor profile reveals itself as indulgent (biscuit, porridge), citrusy, and minty. Sleek, it oscillates between flavors of dill, lemon tart, and acacia honey. The retro-olfaction reveals hints of cough candy and leather.
