Description
Tasting Notes
Colour : Old gold with copper highlights.
Nose : Full, distinguished. Apricot-like, creamy (coconut), and smoothly vanilla-scented, the aromatic palette quickly becomes more floral (iris, broom), honeyed (geranium), and medicinal (balm). Upon aeration, noble spices (cardamom, ginger) and a fine layer of licorice permeate the olfactory space.
Palate : Dynamic, elegant. Exotically fruity (pineapple, ripe banana), the tasting palette features delicate fibrous tannins (sugarcane). Gradually, flavors of candied citrus fruits (lemon, grapefruit) slowly coat the taste buds with their tangy juice.
Finish : Long, complex. Finely licorice-like (stick), the tasting veers toward the world of rye whiskeys. With a very pleasant root bitterness (gentian) and a mouth-watering quality, it extends to reveal praline and tobacco flavors. Gourmand, the retro-olfaction invites us to savor a delicious, still-warm sugarcane sweetness.
