Made in Sri Lanka, Ceylon Arrack is made from coconut palm sap that is harvested, distilled and aged in Halmilla, the island’s indigenous wood. Traditionally, the sap is harvested by ‘toddy tappers’, men who climb the palm trees to gather the precious liquid. Ceylon Arrack is made by Rockland Distilleries Tlc, a pioneering company that has been producing premium quality Arrak since 1924. Serve on ice or in a long drink topped up with Fever Tree Ginger Ale for an authentic Sri Lankan experience.

Tasting Notes


Nose
: Subtle, characterised by sweet milky notes. Opens on dried fruits, hazelnut, almond and walnut. Notes of frangipani blossom. Spiced flavours, pepper. Underpinned by citrus fruit (lemon), as well as ripe fruit and Williams pear.

Palate : Rich, full-bodied and yet subtle. Evocative of the acidity of champagne with notes of walnut. Reveals a fruit eau de vie character with pear, mirabelle plum, raspberry.

Finish : It lingers on pepper and citrus. Leaves the palate available.
