Tasting Notes

Colour : Deep golden yellow.

Nose : Fine, refined. Complex, the initial nose reveals notes of undergrowth (truffle), pineapple, vanilla, nuts, green licorice, and cinnamon. Upon aeration, heady (iris, jasmine, lily), medicinal (benzoin), and camphoraceous fragrances enhance the aromatic palette.

Palate : Both lively and smooth. Unveiling tangy notes of candied lemons and honeyed flavors (acacia, linden), the palate entry also shows a beautiful malty depth. In the mid-palate, fresh fruits (pineapple, mirabelle) release their delicious luscious juice.

Finish : Long, silky. Balsamic (cedar), verdant, and luminous, the finish evokes a forest bathed in the last rays of the sun, then a Sauternes sweet wine (botrytized grapes). Finally, a pleasant malty bitterness refreshes the very end of the palate.
