This rum from Albion – Demerara was distilled in 2012 and aged for 10 years. Since its foundation in 2006, The Nectar, an independent Belgian bottler, has been searching for the best spirits to share with professionals and the general public. Initially focused on whiskies of all origins, their passion has since expanded to other spirits, rum, armagnac, cognac, and more recently calvados and grappa.

Tasting Notes


Nose : Leather and cream-filled wafer cookies, followed by candied ginger, milk chocolate, and creamy mocha coffee with a hint of well-ripe Burlat cherries.

Palate : Swings between the woody and vegetal, but with a resurgence of gourmandise as the nose already hinted.

Finish : Finely fruity, with a sweet impression while still maintaining a straight profile and mouthfeel. A trio emerges with candied cherry (and clafoutis), caramelized hazelnuts, and hot asphalt.
