Description
Most recently taking the name Buffalo Trace in 1999, the distillery where Blanton’s is produced has previously been called Old Fire Copper, George T Staff, the Frankfort Distillery and Ancient Age. During Prohibition (1920-1933), it was one of very few establishments authorised to produce ‘medicinal’ whiskey. The especially extroverted aroma palette of this Single Barrel No. 29 — matured on the fourth floor of the renowned Warehouse H — presents Blanton’s trademark chocolatey, spicy, fruity, cereal and hot notes. Revealing a very pleasant menthol and vanilla freshness, its palette of flavours is then particularly smooth and rich.
